Release on August 1, 2025, in Japan, Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia mark the start of the MEGA era. These sets are the Japanese version of the English Mega Evolution, set to release on September 26, 2025. Scarlet & Violet, enter MEGA!

Evolution Mechanic Change

Megas now evolve from the last pre-evolution stage, not the fully evolved Basic ex card. For example, Mega Venusaur ex now evolves from Stage 2 Ivysaur. Players will receive three Prize Cards when Megas are knocked out, instead of two.

Art Cards Stay Rare

Art collectors are delighted! MEGA retains Art Rare/Illustration Rare cards. Rumors of their end in Scarlet & Violet are false. SARs and ARs confirm no significant change.
